IHRA celebrated WorldPatientSafetyDay-2023

IHRA celebrated WorldPatientSafetyDay-2023 and hosted a significant meeting in collaboration with DAI and The Fleming Fund. WHO AWaRE poster on classification of Antibiotics has been launched, which is a tool for antibiotic stewardship to reduce antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The aim of this meeting was to create awareness among Healthcare providers regarding Antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) to optimize antimicrobial use among patients, to improve patient outcomes, ensure cost-effective therapy and reduce adverse sequelae of antimicrobial use (including antimicrobial resistance). Representatives from different Healthcare Establishments of Islamabad Capital Territory participated in the meeting.

Meeting held at (IHRA) with Dental and Quality Experts from Dental Hospitals and Clinics

A meeting held at the Islamabad Healthcare Regulatory Authority (IHRA) with Dental and Quality Experts from Dental Hospitals and Clinics in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) to review the Dental Standards developed aligned with the guidelines of the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua). The purpose of this meeting was to seek input and suggestions of the relevant experts based on their expertise and ground realities of their practices.

IHRA participated in first National Security workshop 2023۔ CEO ihra said that health security has become a cornerstone of National Security, recognizing that a nation’s strength is intrinsically linked to the well-being of its citizens. Ensuring the health and safety of the population is not only a matter of humanitarian concern but also a strategic imperative. In this context, the role of the Islamabad Healthcare Regulatory Authority (IHRA) holds significant importance. IHRA plays a vital role in upholding Human Security by overseeing the quality and accessibility of healthcare services in Islamabad. IHRA’s commitment to quality and accessibility directly fortifies human health security and, by extension, National Security, establishing a robust foundation for a flourishing society.

Meeting with the owners/decision makers of all Rehab Centers registered with IHRA

Chief Executive Officer of Islamabad Healthcare Regulatory Authority (IHRA) in coordination with District Administration, ICT invited for a meeting with the owners/decision makers of all Rehab Centers registered with IHRA. The agenda of meeting was to address the drug addiction issue among the beggars in ICT.
In the meeting, various issues and hardships faced by Drug Treatment Professionals in the field were discussed and presented to IHRA management and the District Administration. In response, IHRA and the District Administration assured the owners and decision-makers of all Rehab Centers that they would receive full-fledged support.
At the conclusion of the meeting, all the attendees agreed to provide beds free of charge for the drug addiction treatment of beggars, in response to the request made by IHRA management and the District Administration.
